A world of colour
A world without colour is unthinkable to me
Colour to show off with, colour as lure, to defend with, to change colour like the octopus so beautifully performs during a hunt or for camouflage. To change its feather blanket like the “loon” each springtime from a dull and colourless feather coat to reappear as a fairy tale like creature with its beautiful feather coat in black and white consisting out of hundreds spots and specs to seduce and charm his female counter part.
Not to begin to mention the world of flora. The fantastic colour spectacle that takes place on this so beautiful and wonderful planet is to much and to incredible to speak about.
Colour to me is a necessity and a supplement and an extension to my existence. I can so truly enjoy them.
Underneath the waters surface, above water in the sky, colours are everywhere and it has captured me hopelessly.
Colours knows and holds no boundaries, everything’s is permitted, like it is so in nature.
To me colour is a joyous celebration. Through my work I can and love to play endlessly with colours.
Often I find it even quite bold, and naughty, that’s what I love about it, but I certainly think that it has to be a harmonious and balanced unity, the colours will have to strengthen each other as it where.
Through working with glass I am given the possibility and opportunity to create and combine the transparency in depth with colour and shape. |
